About the Event:

The Fourth Annual Intellectual Property & Innovation Conference, presented by the Suffolk Law IP Center, will bring together a cross section of the intellectual property community, including IP scholars, law firm practitioners, in-house counsel, and policy makers. Focused on IP and innovation, this event will explore what drives innovation and how the law impacts discoveries, creativity, and inventions from diverse perspectives in a variety of sectors.

Jeff Knox

Jeff Knox is an investment associate with Innospark, where he focuses on applications of computed intelligence to healthcare and biotechnology.

Jeff brings experience from his time in life sciences consulting, where he advised on development and commercialization for a variety of biotechnology and healthcare clients, covering a broad swath of modalities and care areas. He is deeply interested in the translation of technology through entrepreneurship and served as Managing Director of the founding Boston chapter of Nucleate, helping to build, educate, and support new biotech venture teams.

Jeff holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Outside work you can find him joining local pick up frisbee, hiking down the list of 4,000 footers in New Hampshire, or cooking on weekends. He makes some mean scones.

Terence Condren

Terence Condren is a Managing Director and Advanced Planner with First Republic Investment Management.

Mr. Condren joined First Republic in 2019. In his current role, Mr. Condren works with his clients to improve their lives and help them create a meaningful legacy. He was a practicing trusts and estates attorney from 1994 to 1998, at which time he left the practice of law to focus on advising clients across all areas of estate and financial planning. Mr. Condren partners with his clients by aligning their investment, estate planning and philanthropic goals. He has extensive experience with personal income, estate, gift and trust tax disciplines, advanced wealth transfer techniques, philanthropic planning, asset protection, planning with concentrated stock positions, and stock option and restricted stock complexities. He also analyzes clients’ estate planning documents to help ensure that the plan accurately reflects each family’s philosophy, needs and objectives.

Prior to joining First Republic, he was an Executive Director and Senior Wealth Strategist at UBS Financial Services.
