Caldwell is pleased to announce that Milton Oliver has joined the firm as a patent attorney.

Milton’s practice focuses on patent prosecution in electrical, medical, and mechanical technologies and protecting trademarks for products and services in the U.S. and abroad. Milton also provides counseling about cost-effective legal & business strategies, nationally and globally.

Milton has expertise in obtaining IP protection on microprocessor-controlled devices, including medical devices, and in quickly evaluating technical disclosures alleged by examiners or by competitors to anticipate or make obvious his client’s claimed invention.

He is a member of multiple state bars, the Court of Appeals for the 1st and Federal Circuits, the patent bar, and the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. He speaks fluent German and has a reading knowledge of French & Russian.

Milton holds a B.A. in Physics and Government from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law.
