Overview
Shirin is an Associate at Caldwell. In her position, she assists clients with protecting their valuable intellectual property. She concentrates on:
- Preparing and prosecuting foreign and domestic patent applications.

Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Shirin worked as a mechanical engineer for a defense company. She developed and refined her technical skills through her experience with large model assembly design and documentation, utilizing 3D Laser Scanners and associated software to reverse engineer parts, inspect parts, and assist with facility design and layout optimization. Shirin obtained her Part 107 Drone Pilot License and assisted in various drone operations. Additionally, Shirin contributed to the successful installation and alignment of over 300 radar array plates.
Shirin earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Juris Doctor with a specialization in intellectual property from Santa Clara University School of Law.
In her spare time, Shirin enjoys playing backgammon, going to Pilates, reading, and skiing.
