Overview
Princess is an Associate at Caldwell and helps guide clients in protecting their innovative ideas and products. Her practice concentrates on:
- Preparation and prosecution of foreign and domestic patent applications
- Patent portfolio management
- Assessing patentability and developing patent protection strategies for business growth and success
- Assisting with Patent Trial and Appeal Board Procedures including interferences, reexamination proceedings, inter partes reviews (IPR), post-grant reviews, ex parte appeals, and other proceedings before the PTAB
Experience
Princess is experienced in patent prosecution involving immunotherapy, antibody technologies, gene therapy, therapeutic vaccines, small molecule therapeutics, drug formulations, computer memory, computer networks, signal processing, digital imagers, and other areas of electrical and computer engineering. She often provides counseling to clients in a variety of industries on matters relating to biologics and computer-based systems.
Prior to joining the firm, Princess earned her J.D. from Southern University Law Center where she additionally served as a junior editor on the Law Journal. Princess has worked closely with startups and small businesses seeking patent, copyright, and trademark protection as a member of the Technology and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at her law school. Princess also worked as a Summer Associate at firms practicing data security, healthcare, and environmental law.
